(1). Yesterday afternoon Frank Hawkins was telling me about his experiences as a young man.

昨天下午，FrankHawdins给我讲述他年轻时的经历。

(2). Frank is now the head of a very large business company, but as a boy he used to work in a small shop.

(3). It was his job to repair bicycles and at that time he used to work fourteen hours a day.

(4). He saved money for years and in 1938 he bought a small work-shop of his own

(5). During the war Frank used to make spare parts for airplanes. At that time he had two helpers.

(6). By the end of the war, the small workshop had become a large factory, which employed seven hundred and twenty-eight people.

到战争结束时，这个小车间已经变成拥有七百二十八个职工的大工厂了

(7). Frank smiled when he remembered his hard early years and the long road to success.

Frank在回忆他早年的艰苦岁月以及漫长的成功道路时，他笑了。

(8). He was still smiling when the door opened and his wife came in. She wanted him to repair their son’s bicycle!

正笑着的时候，突然门开了，他妻子走进来，叫他给他们的儿子修自行车。
